Hot off the press! Here's the first of a few new offerings available to clients this year: press printed hinged books. That's right, your very own best seller!
An alternative to formal albums, these books are a fun and stylish way of showcasing your favorite images in a professionally printed and bound keepsake.
All books are crafted with a sturdy, masonite exterior, enveloped with either a leather, fabric, or full wrap-around photo cover. Add a dust jacket, inscribe your name on the spine -- customize the design to your taste. Pictured here is the 8.5x11 book, with sizes ranging from 5x5 to 12x12.
The hinged design allows the book to open flat, making for a clean, easy to view presentation. The center gutter keeps the book flexible, and is narrow enough so as not to intrude excessively on full page spreads. Gotta love spreads!
Pages are sturdy and of quality weight. No bending or creasing. An optional UV sheen protects the artwork and adds gloss. Fingerprints? Wipe them away.
And let's not forget the images! Rich, sharp colors from the full color press guarantee this book a permanent spot on your coffee table. I'd keep it for myself, had it not been ordered for a client!

Busy times ahead -- weddings and portrait sessions back to back -- so one last take on L.A. nightlife... this time, some captures at Redondo Beach Pier. I really love this pier, with all of its Popeye honky-tonk charm and brash colors. Where else in L.A. can you order a Dungeness crab, smash it to smithereens with a mallet, wear a bib, and gobble it down while watching the sun set over the Pacific? But hey, the pier is even more killer a few strokes shy of midnight, when the only thing left on its planks is me, a few seagulls, and the diehard fishmen reeling in two-headed mackerel and who knows what else up from the local surf.
It was great having a few other photographers join the outing, despite the unusally high winds and nipping cold. As the night wore on, the waves became increasingly fierce, and when the whitecaps started lapping the underbelly of the pier à la The Day After Tomorrow, we decided it was time to skeedattle out of Posedion's lair and head home.
Next up: drier ground and baby twins!
I can't speak for everyone in Las Vegas that weekend, but I know for certain two very special people left town with a priceless win. No slots, no dice... just two hearts united, and it was way nice! Jennifer and Michael wed in the late afternoon at the Classico Chapel at Caesars Palace, and oh, what a perfect spot it was for their union. If selecting your wedding photographer is all about pairing with someone you feel at ease with, then it stands to reason your choice of venue should equally be a place you feel at home. And with all of their good humor, Energizer smiles, and commitment to celebrating their vows with style, Vegas was the picture perfect setting for these newlyweds. We had a blast exploring the grounds and, with the understandable exception of the casinos (okay, we might have breezed through), were given carte blanche to shoot amongst the gardens and architecture. Hail Caesars!
This marks my first "destination wedding", and I really couldn't have asked for a more inviting couple to share the experience with. From the moment my plane banked into view of the glitz and glam, to the close of the evening's reception, this was a wildly fun adventure, and a most beautiful wedding. My only regret was taking only one of the cupcakes back to my suite. Next time, I won't be so shy.
