As a couple, if you're able to spell your names with a shared letter in Scrabble, you know you're off to a darn good start. Behold the photographic evidence below! Sam and Ewan married on St. Patrick's Day, and what a perfect way to spend the holiday given Ewan's Irish heritage. And in a fitting nod to Ireland's flag, orange and green were the colors of the day, which popped wonderfully against the cool tones of their Malibu beach wedding.
Our day began with "getting ready" coverage at the Sheraton Agoura Hills, which really tied in serendipitously with their color palette, and was the perfect spot for some first look photos. I then jumped on Kanan Dume Road, which cuts through the mountains and delivers you to the coast. I've traveled this route several times, and it's always amazing just how sunny and toasty it can be in the valley, and yet as you make that drive on Kanan to Malibu, the clouds often roll in some and the temperature can drop significantly. Now, Sam and Ewan's ceremony on the beach was perfectly comfortable, paticularly for Ewan's family visiting from overseas, who know a thing or two about Real cold weather back in Ireland.
The Sunset Restaurant hosted a cozy indoor/outdoor reception. Sam and Ewan we're wonderfully crafty, having created much of their decor and even treating guests to a candy buffet. And as a final sendoff at the end of the evening, Sam & Ewan fired up sparklers with friends & family, thanking everyone for partaking in their celebration.
