I Do: The Wedding of Michael & Shelby

When I first meet with a couple, I really like to talk about what you -- as the bride and groom to-be -- love most about photography.  That is, when looking through an album, what signature images do you respond to most?   And are you seeing the types of images in my work that you'd like to have for your own?

 

 

 

Michael and Shelby responded to color -- bright, vivid images, cozy light.  And this aesthetic was the perfect complement to their wedding venue, Pickwick Gardens in Burbank.  In summer, the property is bursting with color with all of the varied gardens in bloom.   We'd be taking pictures, and then walk about 5 feet, and there'd be another great photo op.  It's a really wonderful property for picture taking.

Rev. Leslie Bockian officiated their outdoor ceremony, with a reception to follow in the banquet hall. Despite being a warm day, Michael and Shelby kept the energy high throughout, and we were rewarded with lots of great captures.
